Our objective is to unite local communities by combining forces to promote the region and it's many attractions, businesses and services. Our initial approach has been to partner with Maleny Visitor Information Centre (MVIC) and it's incredible force of volunteers to modernise their online resources embracing latest technology. MVIC have reinforced and taken ownership of their online identity that now sees them featuring prominently in search results. While embracing social media including Facebook and Twitter they have also expanded their arsenal of marketing initiatives including a newsletter blog with very positive results. MVIC have become a valid alternative to conventional advertising campaigns with robust analytics allowing business owners and event organisers to make informed decisions about their future marketing direction. The introduction of regional mobile apps for their district including north to Eumundi, south to Caboolture, west of the Bruce Highway and east of Kilcoy will be implemented during 2016. Maleny App and Montville App were launched in 2015. We are also partnering with Maleny Bowls Club to promote their unique venue with the view of enticing visitors and locals alike to participate in activities and events showcasing local produce, business, food, arts, crafts and community groups. Part of this initiative will be in providing training and first hand experience for those seeking to enter the hospitality industry targeting youth and long term unemployed. We will also be catering for disabled and people re-entering the workforce after long periods of absence.
Travellersapp's are developed by Mobile Kingdom, a web and development company founded in 2011. Mobile Kingdom is owned and operated by: Brett Gillis a qualified Accountant with over 30 years experience working for various large corporations around Australia. Gary D'Arcy a small business owner, project manager and foreman with over 35 years experience working around Australia and PNG. Partnering with Maleny Visitor Information Centre we have introduced Travellersapp's to boost local tourism by providing tourists and locals alike with information, guidance and the ability to plan adventures as well as being a dynamic resource for local business, service providers and event organisers by introducing a referral and feedback mechanism that is essential in attracting customers and patrons.
Travellersapp's are free to download offering tourists and local residents the ability to plan, capture and share their experiences through reviews, photos and social media whilst being able to stay informed of tourism news, what’s on, local business updates, weather, festivals, events as well as getting directions.
“Travellersapp's showcase the incredible range of attractions, activities, products and services available in the region” said Marketing Manager Brett Gillis. “In association with local business, service providers and event organisers Travellersapp's reward residents and visitors who actively participate in promoting the region by offering special offers in the way of coupons as well as daily bonus deals”.
Attracting, motivating and enticing customers to participate is generated by Coupons that energise customers to voluntarily talk about their activity resulting in them by default promoting local business and events.
Designed to enhance the essence of community that is so eminent in the region, Travellersapp's enable local business, service providers, festival and event organisers to create a relationship of affinity and interaction that empowers them to include customers and patrons in future promotions. Through technology this audience is not confined by geography but extends to a worldwide audience of past, current and future visitors.
“Communication is vital whether it be a weather warning, local promotions or where’s a great place to enjoy your lunch” said Brett. “We embrace the true value of local products and services by developing a referral system that allows users to make informed decisions via the experiences of others”. “You can even use it to notify your friends that you are enjoying a coffee with an invitation to join you complete with directions on how to get there”.
We then provide robust analytics that will enable business owners and event organisers to make an informed decision on whether to continue marketing with Travellersapp's.  There are no contracts and participation is on a voluntary basis with opt-in opt-out functionality.
